If you’re thinking about designing your own website on WordPress for your small business, but you don’t know how, there are some page builders and WordPress plugins that can help you design a professional website easily.
So in this blog post, I’m going to write about the best WordPress page builder plugins to create your website from scratch.
Grab a cup of your favorite beverage (I have my cup of coffee here ☕), and let’s start.
Elementor is a page builder plugin that allows you to create beautiful and professional-looking websites, with a drag and drop live editor and no knowledge of code needed.
It’s the one that I use for my website, so you can see it in action right here.
The Elementor website builder plugin includes 100+ widgets and responsive design, which means that your readers will always get an adapted version of your website according to the screen of their device. For example, I design my website pages for desktop first, and then I take a look at the tablet and mobile versions in the Elementor live editor. Lastly, I make small changes for tablet or mobile only.
With Elementor, you can create custom headers and footers, and even make them sticky.
You can build landing pages, portfolios, about pages, forms, contact pages, product pages (compatible with the WooCommerce plugin), service pages, and so much more.
Elementor also offers two free WordPress themes, designed to be modified with their plugin:
You can download the free Elementor website builder plugin, or get Elementor Pro (starting at $5 per month, billed annually), which includes a library full of templates and more options to create your website easily.
If you purchase a WordPress hosting plan on Elementor or the Elementor Pro plugin with my affiliate link, I’ll give you my Digital Download Instructions Template (value $39) for free. If you sell digital products, and you need to send a PDF with download instructions to your clients after purchasing, this template might be useful for you.
To claim this bonus, you’ll have to send me a screenshot of your purchase to hi@soulfulgirls.com. Once my affiliate commission is approved, I’ll give you a 100% coupon code to get this template for free.
This isn’t valid for free trials or the free Elementor Plugin.
It includes 90+ Elementor widgets, such as grid, slider, and carousel galleries, mega menus, forms, pricing tables, one-page navigation, charts, advanced accordions, countdown timers, promo boxes, testimonial carousels, team members, price lists, back to top button, and so much more.
This is the plugin that I use to style my forms and some sections of my blog page.
Royal Elementor Addons also offers a library with 100+ designer-made Elementor template kits to help you create shop pages (with the WooCommerce plugin), portfolio pages, landing pages, blogs, and more.
You can start with the free Royal Elementor Addons plugin, or get the Pro version (starting at $39.99 per year), which includes priority support, advanced widgets and a premium template kit library.
Some features available are image and video backgrounds, on-scroll animations, a HTML/CSS inspector, sitewide preview, live mobile preview, a library of CSS snippets, a color palette generator, error proof workflow, and more.
CSS Hero supports Google Fonts, Typekit, and custom fonts.
If you want to try CSS Hero before purchasing, they have a live demo where you can edit popular themes (like Blocksy, which is the free WordPress theme that I have installed on my website), and plugins (like Elementor and WooCommerce).
Licenses start at $29 per year for one site, and there’s an option to purchase a lifetime bundle for 999 sites.
Blocksy Companion by Creative Themes is a plugin that extends the customization options of the free Blocksy theme (this is the WordPress theme that I have on my website).
Once you install the free Blocksy theme on your WordPress website, you can install the Blocksy Companion plugin and access a library of starter sites.
Some of the features available are related posts, trending posts, global color palette, newsletter subscribe, cookies notice, advanced typography options, Google fonts, about me block, breadcrumbs block, contact info block, social icons block, share box block, drag and drop header builder, sticky header, transparent header, search icon element, drag and drop footer builder, menu element, copyright element, and many other features.
You can download the free Blocksy Companion plugin, or upgrade to the Pro version (starting at $69 per year), which gives you access to advanced features, like custom code snippets, custom fonts, advanced menu, popups, header and footer templates, dark mode, and so much more. There are options to get lifetime licenses too (personal, business, and agency).
