How To Create A Hosting Account On Rocket.net For WordPress

Psst! This page contains affiliate links, which means that I may earn a small commission, at no cost to you, if you make a purchase through a link. By doing so, you’re helping me pay my biz bills (and to drink coffee; lots of coffee, & to keep buying design books and art supplies, which I love). Learn more in my Affiliate Disclosure.

Rocket.net is a hosting provider that allows you to have a self-hosted WordPress website.

Rocket.net offers unlimited free migrations, free SSL, CDN, WAF (website firewall), malware protection, automatic daily backups, and 24/7 live chat.

If you’re wondering how you can create a hosting account on Rocket.net for your WordPress website, then you’re in the right place.

In this blog post, I’ll show you how easy it’s to register on Rocket.net to start your blog on WordPress.

Grab your cup of your favorite beverage (I have my cup of coffee here ☕), and let’s start.

Rocket.net monthly and yearly plans

There are many hosting plans available on Rocket.net, and they are all available to pay monthly or yearly.

The difference is that if you pay monthly, you get the first month for $1. And if you pay yearly, you can get two months for free.

If you want to try the platform, make use of Rocket.net’s offer of $1 for the first month, and their free migration service, and decide which plan you want later.

You can get managed hosting, agency hosting, or enterprise hosting. If you have a small business, then their managed hosting plans may be the most suitable for you.

After you select a hosting plan, you’ll be able to purchase two or three years of hosting with more free months (you’ll see this offer after creating your account, so start by choosing a hosting plan).

You’ll also be able to see more pricing plans, and if you’d like to, you’ll have the possibility to change to another hosting plan before purchasing.

(Disclaimer: Rocket.net may change their offers from time to time, so take a look at their prices before purchasing.)

Important

There’s no offer of a free domain for the first year or a free email service.

If this is a deal-breaker for you, then you can consider creating a hosting account on SiteGround instead.

While Lyrical Host doesn’t include a free domain for the first year, they offer email accounts and up to two years hosting plans (they even have a six month hosting plan, which I haven’t seen anywhere else). You can use my coupon code SOULFULGIRLS10 to get 10% off any WordPress hosting plan.

Another option that you have is to purchase a domain name on Namecheap, where there are always promotions available. They also offer email services.

Personally, I use:

  • Lyrical Host for hosting my website nowadays. You can get 10% off any hosting plan on Lyrical Host with my coupon code SOULFULGIRLS10 at checkout.
  • When I first migrated from Squarespace to WordPress, I hosted my website with SiteGround for one year.
  • Namecheap to manage my domain name (they offer free domain privacy; on SiteGround you have to pay separately for this).
  • Google Workspace for my business email (even though I could have free email accounts for hosting my website on Lyrical Host).

I prefer to keep all these services separately, but that’s just my opinion. So choose what you think is better for your business.

If you don’t mind managing your domain name and your business email on another platform, select the hosting plan that best suits your needs on Rocket.net, and click on “Get started”.

Business Plan

You can get two months for free when you pay yearly, which means that you’ll pay $83 instead of $100 per month (excluding VAT).

You can host up to 25 WordPress websites on this plan, with 50 GB storage, 500 GB bandwidth, and 5 million monthly visits.

If you manage multiple client websites, this hosting plan may be for you.

Then click on “Billed annual”, or “Billed monthly”, depending on the plan that you had selected.

In this section, you’ll get hosting options for two or three years, with six months for free when you choose a bi-annual plan, and twelve months for free when you choose a tri-annual plan.

After deciding the details of your order, enter your credit card information or pay with PayPal.
