When all the AI apps and tools started to gain traction not so long ago, I got a distinct feeling telling me that I should not use any of them.
I call it intuition. It may be something else. But when you get a deep knowing that you shouldn’t do something, you better listen to it.
So now that there are a gazillion AI apps, I think it’s time to write this blog post in favor of human creativity. Because being humans and having the opportunity to live in this world for a while is, in my opinion, a gift.
This isn’t my usual content. This is a letter to all the human souls who think that their creativity may be replaced by a machine.
(Spoiler alert: No one can replace you. Ever.)
Grab a cup of your favorite beverage (as always, I have my cup of coffee here ☕), and let’s start.
No matter what others may tell you, AI is limited. All the results that it gives you? They come from analyzing human-created content.
Can any AI feel? No.
Can any AI love? No.
Can any AI experience heartbreak? No.
Can any AI dream (and explore other realms or realities, have precognitive dreams, sleep paralysis, or shared dreams)? No.
Can any AI eat, taste, or savor any flavor? No.
(So it may suggest recipes, but it will never know what food tastes like.)
Can any AI feel what it is like to grab a pencil or a brush, play an instrument, or write a song based on that first love that broke your heart? No.
Add whatever you want to this list about what AI can’t do. You’ll find that the list is huge.
Everything that AI is able to do is synthetic, a copy, at best an advanced imitation (at least, it may look advanced at first glance; look closer, and you’ll see the mistakes).
At the end of the day, AI will never replace the original one: you.
When we, as humans, create anything, we pour not only our knowledge, but our heart too.
Our feelings, emotions, experiences, passion, love… All of them have shaped our souls. All of them influence our creativity.
For us, humans, the act of creating always carries a bit of who we are, a bit of our love.
In the end, love is the answer. It’s the reason why we’ll never be replaced by a machine, because AI will never be able to love.
That is why AI will never really know what it means to be human. It doesn’t understand love, and it never will.
We never really comprehend the impact of our actions. It’s like a domino effect: a small action can create a chain of events that culminate in a bigger change than the one we intended to generate.
So with your art, with your creativity, you may impact one life that may, as a consequence, influence the lives of others for good.
In the (sadly) world of social media nowadays, it may appear that you need to have a gazillion followers and likes for your work to mean something.
That’s BS.
No matter what others may tell you, even if you change one life, your work is worth it.
And that life may not even be following you or interacting with your posts, but reading, watching, and listening silently to what you have to say. Because they care about your work and creations. Because you’re inspiring them. And you may never know about their existence.
So keep creating. Keep loving. Keep feeling.
Don’t let anyone tell you that your creativity and ideas mean nothing, because you, my beloved human soul, will never be replaced by a machine.
I hope you found these words inspiring for you. ♥️
You’re beautiful, you’re loved, and you’re unique. Keep sharing your creativity because this world needs all the love and light that you have to give.
With all my love,
Giselle
